Cooperation Ireland - Anne Maguire Student Journalism Conference 2008

The Media Programme's aim is to encourage journalists to examine how the
media can contribute to a greater understanding of the peoples' cultures and
traditions, both at a national and international level.
It seeks to improve the level of knowledge of both young journalists and
those more experienced in the media world.

Since 1999, the Media Programme has taken the form on an annual conference
for 3rd level journalism students. It is known as the Anne Maguire Student
Journalism Conference, named in memory of a young highly respected
journalist Anne Maguire, who tragically died in a motor accident.
